<p>The Greek Marketing Academy organizes during the Athens Money Show, a discussion entitled: “<strong>Links and Likes but no Desires: From the social media obsession to the effectiveness of Marketing</strong>”, on Saturday 17th of December 2011, 16.00-18.00, at the Hilton Hotel, Hall Terpsihori B .</p><p>The following panel will share their experiences in the discussion:</p><p><strong>Lina Sari, CEO TNS ICAP</strong><br><strong>Eric Thanopoulos Park, Head of Digital Interactive at Newtons</strong><br><strong>Giorgos Vareloglou, Business Development Director at Mindworks (Atcom)</strong><br><strong>Panagiotis Papadopoulos, Founder and CEO of the Greek startup BugSense.</strong></p><p>The discussion moderator will be Mr. M. Tsogkas, Lecturer of International Marketing in the University of Piraeus and board member of the Greek Marketing Academy.</p><p>The discussion aims to present Social Media as another contemporary tool for commercial promotion and communication, but not as a substitute for a wider marketing strategy. Today more than ever it is important to seek productive methods without ignoring their efficiency, because tools that ignore a general strategy become faulty paths that lead to barren destinations.</p>
