The Future of Bunkers 2023 and beyond: Legal, Operational and Technical Perspectives is an event that will take place on April 20th at the Grand Resort Limassol as part of the East Med Expo. The event aims to provide valuable insights into the transition towards a more sustainable future, highlighting the challenges that must be overcome.
The event will begin with a scene-setting talk, which will provide an overview of the transition and discuss the challenges associated with decarbonisation. Following this, a geopolitical analyst will speak about the Energy Landscape of the East Med and discuss the flows of energy and their importance to world trade.
There will also be a panel discussion on regulations and their implications for the industry, including perspectives from stakeholders such as Charterers, classification society, Ship Owners, Technology Providers, and Flag States.
A presentation will focus on the pricing of emission certificates and hedging. Additionally, another presentation will provide insight into the potential of Hydrogen as a fuel solution for meeting IMO2050.
The event will conclude with a panel discussion on the transition to future fuels, including Bio/LNG & Methanol. Speakers will provide insights into pricing and trends related to this transition.
