An Introduction to the legal issues startups may face from the idea phase (pre-incorporation) to the later stages of incorporation and scale-up. The concept is to introduce to prospective start-uppers the legal challenges and issues that they will have to take into consideration when launching their startup. These areas of concern include legal issues of the idea, Intellectual Property Strategy (trademarks, patents etc.), incorporation and shareholders’ agreements, tax considerations, funding agreements and other legal documents (lease agreements, employee/contractor agreements, loans etc).
