Starting a podcast in Greece, where there is no podcast scene and where people hardly know what a podcast is, it can be challenging and like cruising total unknown waters. In the first hour, we will be talking about the journey of starting the podcast “GiatiOxi” (Why Not), one of the first and most popular podcasts in Greece, from the ground up with zero experience in podcasting, surpassing obstacles and paving the way for the podcasting ecosystem. We are going to discuss the uncomfortable details of turning your passion into business, with all the joy and anxiety that comes with it.
We glorify hustle, innovation, creativity and we never talk about mental health due to the fear and stigma attached to it. We never talk about anxiety, imposter syndrome and depression. In the second hour we are doing a live podcast with a prominent guest in the field of psychology about the psychological toll of entrepreneurship. Research shows nearly three-quarters of business owners have concerns about their mental health. Almost half have struggled with depression or anxiety before.
