SNFCC Ice Rink | 2022/23

December 1st marks the comeback of the Ice Rink at the SNFCC Canal, and aspiring figure skaters will once again twist and twirl on the ice against the sounds of beloved Christmas songs, while beginners have the opportunity to learn in a fairytale-like setting.

This year, however, the beloved Christmas Ice Rink returns with a major change. As part of the SNFCC's environmental sustainability strategy, the Ice Rink facility uses synthetic ice, which has zero energy consumption and offers a different experience to all aspiring skaters.

Situated by the north bank of the Canal, close to the Visitors Center, the Ice Rink provides lovers of this winter sport the chance to enjoy a magnificent insider’s view of the Dancing Fountains.

The Ice Rink will operate daily, from 10:00 to 22:00, weather permitting.

Participation information:

  • Admission to the ice rink is free for the public. For your participation, online pre-registration is required.
  • In order for your reservation to be valid, you must check in at the venue at least 20' earlier, otherwise your reservation will be cancelled.
  • On the occasion that the ice rink remains closed due to the weather conditions, your reservation is automatically canceled.
  • The maximum length of stay on the Ice Rink track is 40'.
  • If you arrive without prior electronic pre-registration, your entry to the Ice Rink will only be possible if there is availability.
  • Skating helmets are mandatory for children. It is recommended to bring your own. Otherwise, helmets in children's sizes are available for loan. Their use is also strongly recommended by adolescents and adults.
  • It is recommended to bring gloves. Gloves are not available for loan.
  • As this year's facility uses synthetic ice, it is recommended that you use the Ice Rink's ice skates for a better experience.
  • The use of the Ice Rink by minors between the ages of 5 and 15 is possible provided that they are accompanied by a parent/guardian/adult chaperone and there is consent through electronic pre-registration or upon arrival at the Ice Rink.
  • The use of the Ice Rink by a minor over the age of 16 is possible provided that the relevant written consent has been provided either by the parent/guardian during the online booking or upon arrival at the Ice Rink.
  • In the case of school trips, written consent is provided by the accompanying teacher.
