ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation is not included with any Conference booking. The CBRNe Convergence team has negotiated special accommodation rates at two local hotels, both adjacent to the Convention Center.

Cut-off date for bookings at the conference rate is March 21st 2026 and cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid charges.

DELEGATE FEES include full access to conference sessions and exhibition areas for Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 April 2026, a conference document brief, refreshments, lunches, any relevant conference materials and inclusive drinks receptions. You will also receive full access to all CBRNe Convergence speaker presentations and a three month gold subscription post event, which includes full access to the CBRNe product Directory and 19 year magazine archive.
The fee does NOT include accommodation, dinners or pre-conference classes where available.

Your ticket choice below applies to your organisation not to you as an individual. Example, if you are ex-military and now work for a commercial company, a COMMERCIAL ticket must be purchased. Where the incorrect ticket type is selected your registration will be amended and an invoice issued for the difference.

PRE-CONFERENCE CLASS ONE \| CBRN Protection of the French Olympic Games 2024, and How Lessons Learned are Helping Redefine CBRN Military Defence \| CAD 83.00 Description + - In the summer of 2024, France hosted the Olympic and Paralympic Games, with most events taking place in and around Paris. Beyond the sporting achievement, the Games represented one of the most complex security operations ever conducted in the country. The unprecedented concentration of VVIPs, athletes, spectators, and continuous global media coverage created a threat environment where even low-probability risks could have major consequences. Within this context, CBRN threats were treated as a strategic priority. A highly coordinated CBRN security architecture was developed, integrating military units, fire and rescue services, law enforcement, health authorities, and civil protection actors. The Games provided a real-world stress test of interoperability, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), highlighting both strengths and areas requiring improvement. Lessons learned were assessed alongside a changing threat landscape. Since 2013, incidents in the Middle East and operational insights from the conflict in Ukraine have demonstrated a shift toward improvised, artisanal, and hybrid CBRN threats, often targeting crowded, high-visibility environments. In response, the French Joint Staff initiated a reorganization of military CBRN capabilities, moving away from reliance on highly specialized units toward strengthening baseline CBRN competencies across a wider range of forces. This approach aims to embed detection, protection, and response capabilities at the tactical level, while adapting standards and training to modern threat realities. This workshop will use the 2024 Olympic Games as a case study to examine interoperability, operational lessons, and practical adaptations for future large-scale security and military operations.
