Following a very successful first edition, with more than 5,500 visitors and a rich conference program, Hotel Experience returns for the second consecutive year, this time at Technopolis, City of Athens.

This year’s exhibition is inspired by the architectural identity of the venue, incorporating its industrial character into the design. The multifaceted aspects of hotels unfold within a cinematic landscape where imagination meets reality.

The event, curated by Vassilis Bartzokas and Design Ambassador, in collaboration with Flux Office, architect and scenographer Eva Manidaki, and Thanasis Demiris, draws inspiration from hotel atmospheres portrayed in iconic films such as The Shining (Stanley Kubrick, 1980), In the Mood for Love (Wong Kar-wai, 2000), The Grand Budapest Hotel (Wes Anderson, 2014), Death in Venice (1971), Some Like It Hot (1959), and Casablanca (1942), creating a visual and emotional journey filled with charm, mystery, and cinematic flair.

Thus, the exhibition design stages the visitor’s encounter with an extraordinary world that condenses the magic of cinematic aesthetics. Trade booths are transformed into hotel rooms, while other areas of the exhibition reinterpret key hospitality spaces—Reception, Lobby, Pool, Elevator—conjuring the atmosphere of a cinephile-inspired hotel.

The interiors of the hotel are reimagined, while exterior areas are redesigned with elements such as a beach, train platform, and pier, creating a complete hospitality experience. The overall design blends industrial features with cinematic references.

“The initial concept stemmed from the desire to create an environment where hoteliers, tourism professionals, architects, and interior designers could fully experience the potential of materials with all their senses. A setting where materials, services, and products for the hospitality market are presented beyond the typical branded context, which belonged more to past eras.

Today we live in the age of storytelling. People engage with stories physically, digitally, and imaginatively. Hotel Experience is an event that frees imagination and unleashes creativity. Artistic direction can help exhibitors build a stronger brand image while expanding their commercial reach by presenting their solutions to a broader audience, beyond the typical trade show visitor,” explains Vassilis Bartzokas.

The event, aimed at Hoteliers, Tourism & Hospitality professionals, Architects & Designers, and the Materials industry, will take place at Technopolis in Gazi, on Saturday & Sunday, October 18 & 19, 2025.

The first speakers are already announced on www.hotelexperience.gr.

The final program, currently in development, will also be available at this link.
