An evening where taste meets storytelling, as every dish comes with a story to tell. Before each course is served, guests will listen to a short folkloric or historical note – for example, why a dish is called “kleftiko” or how trachanas was once prepared in the villages.
The experience includes:
● A small booklet with insights about local ingredients.
● A corner of traditional products (carob, arkateno rusks, anari cheese) for tasting and discovery.
● Shared mezze platters, served in the middle of the table, highlighting the Cypriot way of dining.
● Blind wine tasting, with small glasses of Cypriot varieties (Maratheftiko, Xynisteri) in a playful guessing game.
“As Cypriots say, the best company is built around mezze and wine.”
