In today’s digital reality, cyber threats evolve at an expedited pace with malicious cyber criminals becoming increasingly sophisticated, better organized and transnational. In mitigating cyber threats, it is crucial for countries to have an accurate understanding of the issue, adequate tools as well as necessary resources.
In the reality of an increasingly connected world, effective cybersecurity plays an absolutely critical role. This means responding to constantly evolving challenges and cyber threats and take appropriate action to prevent or address them. To ensure a safe, resilient and secure digital realm – from which all citizens can benefit – countries have to navigate the complex, cross-cutting field of cybersecurity – which involves strategy, technical, legal, policy, and security matters, as well as multisector and international collaboration.
