The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) invites you to the 7^th event of the new monthly series DIALOGUES, on: 

Food: need, enjoyment, communication or art?

Food connoisseurs will utilize every “ingredient” available, in an enticing discussion on the various emotions brought about by food, but also on the ritual surrounding its preparation, consumption and enjoyment.

Where is the fine line where food stops covering our most basic, everyday needs and becomes a vehicle of communication and inspiration? Renowned chefs and representatives of the food industry will provide answers to questions such as “do we feel full after a meal because of the quantity or the quality of the food? and “does flavor know any boundaries?”

In addition during the event, details of the SNF’s latest grant on the agricultural field will be presented.

Diane Kochilas – Chef 
Lefteris Lazarou – Chef 
Stelios Parliaros – Pastry Chef 
Effie Lazaridou – Managing Director of the Greek team of the initiative “New Agriculture for a New Generation”, a project spearheaded by Rutgers University in partnership with the Agricultural University of Athens and the American Farm School, with the SNF’s exclusive support
Vasilis Mitsopoulos – Secretary of the Kozani Saffron Producers Cooperative & Saffron Producer 
Marilou Pantaki (Madame Ginger) - Food Blogger

Giovanna Lykou, sommelier, wine instructor and head of the team Wine In the City, Iakovos Apergis, cook at Tzaneio Prefecture General Hospital of Piraeus, and Afentia Chorafa, representative of the NGO Boroume which combats food waste, will also participate in the discussion.

The discussion will be moderated by journalist Anna-Kynthia Bousdoukou.
