“If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be vegetarian” — Paul McCartney

A Promise to Animals presents a photo exhibition by award-winning photojournalist Jo-Anne McArthur based on the book  HIDDEN: Animals in the Anthropocene, and from the organization’s investigation of Greek pig farms last March. Motivated by the fact that data for such farms is virtually non-existent in Greece and an image of a utopian reality seems to prevail, A Promise to Animals made it its business to shed light on the truth so that anyone who chooses to consume the meat of these animals has a perfectly clear picture of what their money is funding.

Under the guidance of photographer Jo-Anne McArthur, SNFCC Members will be able to tour the exhibition and discuss the photos with the artist herself. The award-winning photographer is also a writer and founder of We Animals Media. She has photographed in 60 countries and regularly delivers speeches on the relationship between animals and people, social change and empathy.

The tour will take place in english. Translation will be provided upon request.
