Members’ Meetup: Cybersecurity seminars for parents and digital citizens

On the occasion of the European Cybersecurity Month (October of each year), we are raising our awareness of online security, redefining our behavior in case of a cyber attack, and analyzing the steps we must follow, in two Meetups addressed to every digital citizen and child caregiver.

Α) Cybersecurity for all: Cybersecurity awareness seminar for digital citizens

Focusing on today’s digital citizens, the seminar will present the risks of the internet, providing the necessary guidance so that they may be easily identified and properly addressed. Topics covered include the most common internet threats, wireless networks (Wi-Fi), social networks, geotagging, as well as examples, tips and best practices.

Β) Back to school: Cybersecurity awareness seminar for parents and caregivers

Addressed to parents and child caregivers, the seminar will present the risks of exposing minors to harmful digital content. Appropriate guidance will be provided so that parents and caregivers can more easily identify these risks, in order to ensure the safe navigation and protection of all children online. Topics covered include the most common internet threats, wireless networks (Wi-Fi), social networks, geotagging, sexting, cyber bullying, as well as examples, tips and best practices for digital wellbeing.
