On the occasion of the Marathon Race, SNFCC Members participate in a guided tour of the Silver Cup which was conceived and designed by Michel Bréal for the first Olympic marathon winner, Greek Spyros Louis, and awarded to him at the first modern Olympic Games in Athens, in 1896. Spyros Louis’s Cup is on permanent display at the SNFCC, on loan, upon its acquisition by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

The brief tour will start from the site where the Cup is displayed, to be followed by a screening of a relevant short video. The meeting will be concluded with a fun trivia game about the Marathon Race and the historical significance of the Cup.
