SNFCC Members Off the Premises: Adults’ visit to the Tactual Museum of Athens and acquaintance with the Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece

This year, like last year, on the occasion of World Braille Day on January 4, and in the context of SNFCC’s events focusing on Accessibility, you are invited to a special visit and tour of the Tactual Museum of Athens — the only tactual museum in Greece and one of only 5 worldwide.

The program we will attend during our visit aims to inform the general public and raise awareness about the visually impaired. It consists of three units: first, first, a brief theory about blindness, the needs, obstacles and everyday lives of visually impaired people; second, mobility of the visually impaired; and, lastly, an acquaintance with the Braille system.
