The TEDxLausanneWomen team will present its first edition in Lausanne on
May 28th, 2015. The theme is "Momentum – Moving forward. Gaining speed. Building traction".
The event has been planned to coincide with the main TEDWomen 2015 conference, which will be streamed from Monterey, California. Live speakers will also present in Lausanne to personally share their ideas
worth spreading. The program will be a blend of local and international talks with an opportunity to meet challenging and interes ting women from around the world. The event will be followed by an apéro-
buffet and there will be plenty of time for networking.
The event will feature a line up of all female speakers. In recognition of the important message behind the UN HeForShe Campaign, we have a goal for the audience members of TEDxLausanneWomen to be 50% men and 50% women.
The presenters include journalist Marie Parvex, winner of the Prix Jean Dumur 2014, for her reporting on major controversial topics covered in the canton of Valais (Giroud files and Mercury pollution); Jackie Cruz, singer and star of Netflix’s No.1 rated series Orange Is The New Black; Vanessa Erogbogbo, Program Manager at the International Trade Center on the importance of women’s economic empowerment and Saadia Zahidi, World Economic Forum Senior Director on gender parity.
