Sherin Khankan

Imam, Activist, Author, Founder and CEO of The Exitcircle

Scandinavia’s first female imam and founder of the first female-led mosque in the world, Sherin advocates for combining faith and feminism to inspire change. Author of Women are the Future of Islam, activist and mother of 4, she is also Founder and CEO of The Exitcircle, Denmark's first self-help group combatting psychological violence. Sherin is one of the world’s pioneering women included in the BBC’s 100 Women, and very recently received the Hero Prize, Global Hope Award under UNESCO in New York. She was invited to meet with the French President in March 2018 at the Élysée Palace to shed light on her thoughts on balancing religion and politics.

Performing Artist, Activist, Educator

The artist behind the sensational viral video “A Scary Time (for Boys), Lynzy is a performer and visual artist and educator who uses her creative work to bring awareness through her art. Her original song landed her several performance opportunities, including a spot on Emmy-award nominated talk-show Jimmy Kimmel Live! She is currently full-time faculty for Texas State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance, and co-founded The Performing Arts Project, a summer program educating gifted young artists.

She is recognised as a Champion for Peace by the organization, Peace and Sport, and serves as an ambassador for several pro-social sports organizations benefiting thousands of girls and boys throughout the Middle East and beyond.
