We have the pleasure to announce the joined workshop of the EWRS Working Groups “Optimizing herbicide use in an IWM context” and “Herbicide Tolerant varieties”.
“Sustainable Integrated Weed Management and Herbicide Tolerant Varieties”
The Workshop aims to discuss the latest developments regarding weed management and the sustainable use of herbicides in an Integrated Weed Management (IWM) context. The workshop will also provide a forum to exchange information on benefits and stewardship challenges related to Herbicide Tolerant varieties as additional weed control system for farmers.
Special focus will be given to crops (but not limited), such as rice, sunflower, sugar-beet in topics related to:
Sustainable use of herbicides in an IWM context
Monitoring and mitigation strategies for herbicide resistance
Developments in Herbicide Tolerant (HT) varieties in Europe
Stewardship to preserve the usefulness of herbicides and HT varieties
